I wonder how long it will be before Meghan McCain leaves the Republican party entirely, as Limbaugh already invited her (and her father) to do. It's getting so that any sign of sanity is a disqualifier from membership.
You know, Infidel I actually feel sorry for moderate conservatives because they are trashed by the wingnuts almost as bad as anyone. I've heard right-wingers call them RINOS and tell me that the likes of Meghan McCain, John McCain and even Lindsey Graham should be rid from the party.
There was a definite sense of "good riddance" there when Specter left. The GOP retains a "big tent" only in the sense that any tent containing Limbaugh has to be big. They're like a sinking ship which everyone except the rats is leaving.
